CHAD KAYDO
Chad Kaydo is a queer playwright from Ashtabula, Ohio. He is developing a play with Clubbed Thumb, and has presented and developed work with the Quickening Room, Playhouse on Park, Theater Masters, the Sewanee Writers’ Conference, and Fresh Ground Pepper. His short play That Was Fun will be published by Samuel French/Concord Theatricals. As Playwright in Residence at the Brick, Chad produces and hosts community-building programs for writers and directors, including Quick + Dirty, a monthly development series for short works by new collaborators. The son of teachers, Kaydo has been educated entirely in public schools, earning a B.A. in English and a B.S. in journalism at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, and an M.F.A. in playwriting from Hunter College.
